My Hero Project Film Festival Intern

Summer to Winter 2012

 

The My Hero Project aims to recognize the best in humanity. The organization provides tools for educators and individuals that wish to share the stories of the heroes in their lives through multimedia. 

 

The organization hosts an international film festival each year, encouraging students and professionals to tell their stories through cinema and animation.

 

As an intern, I promoted the organization and film festival through Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. I also reviewed submissions and catalogued them using WithoutaBox, a film festival site.

In December 2012, I assisted in setting up the festival at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and interviewed a number of the participants and winners of the festival.
